Hi-Speed test at Weisscam Gmbh

In August 2012, we went to Weisscam with the new Alpha 1600 and the new Joker Bug 1600 to test the ability of the new ballast (which includes Hi-speed features at 300 Hz and 1000 Hz) to run at Hi-Speed. Results speak for themselves.

Camera resolution : 1920 x 1080 pixels
Camera Shutter angle : 360°
Speed : 2000 fps

HMI LIGHTING : ALPHA 1600 and JOKER BUG 1600 with Super Wide lens with output signal mode 300 Hz. We lit a white wall from about 1, 50 m with the Weisscam HS2. The waveform of lumens channel shows a curve of the intensity without any slice (less than 1% variation). The light intensity of the Alpha 1600 is constant in any point of the white wall captured by the Weisscam HS2 camera.
The color vector scope shows a point around zero. So there is no variation of color temperature.
According to the Weisscam’s technicians, this test proves the good hi speed performances of both lights. The ALPHA 1600 and the JOKER BUG 1600 have been approved to shoot at 2000 fps with a 1920 x 1080.
These tests were done without the new ultra Hi-speed 1000 Hz mode we added since.
